GRANGER, Ind. – A stellar performance by senior
Zach Dehn along with timely hits gave the Indiana University South Bend baseball team a crucial 7-4 victory over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Judson University in the midweek match Wednesday, March 31.
IUSB improves to 11-13 overall, 7-3 in CCAC play and are now winners of five straight. Judson drops to 7-10 overall and 6-2 in the conference.

The Crimson and Cream pounded out 11 hits, their fourth consecutive multi-hit game, while Judson finished with seven. Four Titans picked up multi-hit efforts, led by junior transfer

Colin Mack added two hits apiece, while Mack added a game-high three RBIs.
On the mound, Indiana University South Bend's bullpen proved to be the saving grace as seniors

Kyle Hallberg tossed 5.1 scoreless out of the pen while
Nolan Lorenz threw the final inning. Dehn ultimately picked up the win, his first donning a Titan uniform, while Lorenz recorded his first career save.
With IU South Bend down a 4-3 deficit, senior catcher
Jordan Moore went yard to left for a two-run home run, his third of the season, and put IUSB up one, 5-4, after the fifth frame.
Mack hit his second two-out RBI single in the sixth while Smith added a RBI single to follow to help seal the eighth win at Rex Weade Stadium for the Titans.
Lorenz worked around a leadoff single and a couple wild pitches to preserve the 7-4 victory.
The Titans are back in action Friday, April 2, beginning the three-game series with St. Francis. First pitch at Rex Weade on Friday is slated for 1 p.m. followed by a twin bill in Joliet, Ill. on Saturday, April 3. The series doubleheader between the Eagles and Titans is scheduled for April 28 in Elgin, Ill.
