IU South Bend scattered its 13th double-digit hit game of the season with 12 after the loss. Senior Logan Young and junior transfer Scott Stetz led the way after collecting three apiece. Young picked up a game-high four RBIs to go along with two runs scored while Stetz added an RBI and a run scored.

Juniors Colin Mack and Jake Vanderwoude also added double-digit hits with two each. Mack went 2-for-3 from the plate with two walks and two runs scored while Vanderwoude went a perfect 2-for-2 for the Titans.

On the mound, IUSB used a by-committee approach with five pitchers getting in work. Junior Bryson Taylor started the game and went five innings, allowing five runs off three hits. Junior counterpart Matt Rose was the pitcher of record.

With IUSB in front 4-2, Young came up huge with a grand slam to left field in the fourth frame as Logan Smith, pinch runner Nick Banks and Mack scored to give the Titans a six-run cushion.

The Tigers responded and plated nine runs on seven hits in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings while six of those runs came in the bottom of the seventh to help seal the victory and sweep the Titans during the regular-season.

The Titan rally in the final inning came up short, despite a RBI ground out from pinch hitter Jared Bais with one out and two on base. Mack ended the game with a ground out to the Tiger short stop.

IU South Bend returns to action at Lincoln College Wednesday, April 14, to conclude the regular-season with the Lynx. First pitch of the CCAC doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. The Titans won the first matchup with Lincoln back on Wednesday, March 17 by a score of 14-4 and will look to clinch the series in the midweek contests.
