GARY, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (11-1, 5-1 CCAC) defeated the Indiana University Northwest RedHawks (8-3, 5-1 CCAC) by a score of 62-53. Saturday's win avenges the Titans first and only loss of the year, which came on Wednesday, December 7th, when they fell two points short of defeating Saint Francis.
A balanced IU South Bend offense saw eight of the nine players who entered the game get into the scoring column. Three different Titans reached double figures, led by
Katie Gard who finished two rebounds shy of double-double status with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Other Titans to reach double figures include
Maddie Gard who finished three rebounds shy of a double-double with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Emma Fisher finished Saturday's contest with 11 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Her 11 points left her just one point shy of tying her season high of 12 points, which she reached against Ohio Christian on November 5th.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, December 17th, when they take on the Judson University Eagles at 2:00 PM in the Student Activities Center.
