SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (4-20, 4-7 CCAC) defeated the Saint Xavier University Cougars (10-13, 7-5 CCAC) in three straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-17. Tuesday's victory makes IU South Bend victorious in two of their last three CCAC contests and gives the Titans a season sweep over fourth place Saint Xavier.
A well balanced IU South Bend offense featured five different Titans to record at least five kills, led by
Abby Seeger and
Madison Figg who both tied for a team high with seven kills.
Seeger also extended her CCAC lead in blocks per set by posting her third consecutive game with at least five blocks.
Other Titans with at least five kills include
Felisha Campanello and
Ryleigh Grott who both finished with six kills while
Alexis Joyner posted five.
Two Titans finished Tuesday's three set sweep with double digit assists, led by
Emma Knowlton who finished with 15 while
Brynn Lake was just behind with 13.
Junior hitter
Macy Sherman led the Titans defense by recording a team high 11 digs. 11 digs on Tuesday marks Sherman's tenth game this season with double digit digs.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Thursday, October 26th, when they host the Trolls of Trinity Christian College on Senior Day at 7:00 PM in the Student Activities Center.
