SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (5-20, 5-7 CCAC) defeated the Trinity Christian College Trolls (8-18, 6-6 CCAC) in five sets by scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-19, 24-26, and 15-8. Thursday's win makes the Titans victorious in three of their last four conference matches.
The IU South Bend offense was led by senior hitter
Abby Seeger who tied for the game high with 14 kills on an impressive .520 attack percentage. Seeger also extended her CCAC lead in blocks per set by posting a season high eight blocks in the five set victory.
Junior hitter
Ryleigh Grott was next in line in kills finishing Thursday's contest with 12 kills. 12 kills against Trinity Christian marks the sixth time this season Grott has posted double digit kills.
Both Titan setters finished the match just short of 20 assists, sophomore
Emma Knowlton posted a team high 19 while freshman
Brynn Lake finished just behind with 18.
Four IU South Bend Titans concluded the CCAC contest with double digit digs, led by defensive specialist
Sydney Hanna who ended with a game high 18 digs.
Other Titans to record double digit digs include
Emma Knowlton and
Abby Weber who both finished with 13 while junior
Macy Sherman finished with 11.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, October 28th, when they travel to Davenport, Iowa to take on the Saint Ambrose University Fighting Bees at 5:00 ET.
