GOSHEN, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (1-17, 1-5 CCAC) fell to the Goshen College Maple Leafs (8-16, 0-11 WHAC) by scores of 17-25, 15-25, 25-15, and 11-25.
The IU South Bend offense was led by hitters
Alexis Joyner and
Ryleigh Grott who both finished Saturday's contest with double-digit kills.
Joyner led the Titans with 11 kills, her most of the 2023 season while hitting at a .273 percentage.
Grott finished just behind Joyner with 10 kills, her fourth game this season posting at least 10 kills.
Two Titans finished with double-digit assists, with sophomore
Emma Knowlton leading the passing game with 19 assists while freshman
Brynn Lake finished just behind with 15 assists.
Defensive specialist
Sydney Hanna led the IU South Bend defense with 15 digs while senior
Abby Seeger led the charge at the net with four blocks.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Tuesday, October 10th, when they host the Jaguars of Governors State University at 7:00 PM.
