MISHAWAKA, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend (1-7, 1-0 CCAC) Titans dropped their final game of the Liz Hossler Labor Day Classic to Grace College (6-1) in four sets by scores of 25-21, 14-25, 21-25, 11-25.
The Titans concluded their final game of the Liz Hossler Labor Day Classic with a four set loss to 6-1 Grace College, after taking set one, IU South Bend fell in the final three sets to lose Saturday's doubleheader conclusion.
Offensively, IUSB was led by
Abigail Seeger who finished with nine kills,
Alexis Joyner who finished with eight kills, and
Ryleigh Grott who finished with eight kills. Sophomore setter
Emma Knowlton finished with 30 assists while
Sydney Hanna and
Alexis Joyner also tallied an assist each.
Sydney Hanna,
Alexis Joyner, and
Abby Weber each contributed one service ace in Saturday's finale.
Defensively,
Sydney Hanna and
Macy Sherman both tallied double digit digs, Hanna finishing with 15 while Sherman finished with 11, sophomore
Emma Knowlton also finished with six digs. Senior middle hitter
Abigail Seeger led the charge at the net, finishing with three blocks while
Felisha Campanello and
Ryleigh Grott both finished with two blocks each.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to play on Tuesday, September 5th, when they travel to Palos Heights, IL., to take on the Trolls of Trinity Christian College at 8:00 PM, looking to improve their CCAC record to a perfect 2-0.
