Box Score SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Four players scored in double-figures on Saturday afternoon as Indiana University South Bend women's basketball earned is seventh straight season opening victory, winning in convincing style at Spring Arbor, 74-42.

IUSB's leading scorer from last year, senior guard Kyleigh Kubik, led all players with 14 points off the bench as the LaPorte, Ind. native went 4-for-5 from behind the arc. Senior counterpart and forward Kylie Fehrman followed behind with 13 points of her own.
In her first game wearing a Titan uniform, freshman Emma Fisher went for 11 points, three steals and two assists. Freshman teammate Katie Gard was the final Titan in double-figures with 10 to go along with two steals, three rebounds and one assist.
As a team, Indiana University South Bend overmatched Spring Arbor in almost every statistical category including field goal percentage, 43.3 – 30.2, three points made, 9-5, steals, 18-6, and rebounds, 41-31.
Fisher got things started in the game with 8:48 on the clock with a two-point field goal as IUSB never let up from there, outscoring its opponent in all four quarters. With the win over the Cougars, IUSB inched closer in the head-to-head matchup as SAU holds the 4-3 advantage.
The Titans return to the hardwood on Tuesday, Oct. 29, hosting Midway University inside the Student Activities center for their homer opener. Tipoff is slated for 5:00 p.m. against the Eagles.
