Box Score SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana University South Bend women's basketball earned the 74-55 home-opening victory over the Midway Eagles on Tuesday evening inside the Student Activities Center. Sophomore Rachael Robards registered a season and game-high 18 points to lead the Titans to a 2-0 overall record.

Midway took the early 3-0 lead before IUSB rattled off 20 points, holding the Eagles to just 10 more points to help the Titans take the 24-14 lead after the first 10 minutes. IU South Bend outscored Midway in every quarter besides the fourth as the Eagles took the 11-8 final stanza.
Robards nearly missed out on her first double-double of the season with eight rebounds to go along with her 18 points. Freshman Maddie Gard was the only other Titan to score in double-figures with 10 points off four-of-six shooting, including two three pointers.
After going four-of-five from behind the arc at Spring Arbor last time out, senior Kyleigh Kubik followed up her performance with eight points that included two-of-three shooting from three Tuesday evening. Junior Courtney Haynes added nine points to go along with three of IUSB's seven offensive rebounds.
Senior Taitlyn Trenshaw dished out a game-high nine assists while both Maddie Gard and Maddy Schumacher collected three steals each.
As a team, IUSB shot an impressive 52.9 percent from behind the arc while holding the Eagles to just 28.6 percent from three. The Titans held statistical advantages in other categories including assists, 19-9, and steals 16-10.
The Crimson & Cream are back in action at home on Saturday, Nov. 2 hosting University of Northwestern Ohio inside the SAC. Tipoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.
