Box Score SOUTH BEND Ind. – The Indiana University South Bend women's basketball team saw its five-game winning streak snapped after the loss to No. 6 Saint Xavier in Saturday afternoon's contest on Feb. 22 inside the Student Activities Center. Following the 90-75 loss the Titans conclude the regular-season 24-6 overall and 16-6 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletics play and clinch fourth place in the league.

Prior to the game, IU South Bend honored its two seniors in Kyleigh Kubik and Taylor Wesley. Kubik scored 12 while Wesley added nine points to go along with four rebounds and a steal.
Freshman Maddie Gard led the Titan offense with a career-high 28 points off 9-of-15 shooting while converting 8 of her nine freebies. The guard just missed out on a double-double, adding a game-high seven steals.
Three-point shooting woes hurt the Titans in the first half as the Crimson & Cream went 0-for-10 from behind the arc and finished just 5-of-22 for the game. After the first 20 minutes of play IUSB fell behind by 15, 47-32. The Titans turned things around in the second half going toe-to-toe with their top-10 ranked opponent as both squads added 43.
IU South Bend used a 9-2 run in the fourth, cutting the deficit to five with 6:24 to play but the Cougars proved to be too much to seal the victory.
As a team, IUSB converted 24-of-63 (38.1) from the floor while shooting 22.7 percent from three. The Cougars converted 50 percent of their shots from the field while going 7-for-20 from three-point territory. The Titans were held to just 12 bench points while the Cougars added 29. IUSB was outrebounded 41-34 and recorded just one rejection to four from SXU.
The Titans begin the post season Tuesday, Feb. 25, hosting No. 5 seed St. Ambrose inside the Student Activities Center for the tournament quarterfinals. Tipoff in South Bend is to be announced.
