Box Score SOUTH BEND Ind. – The Indiana University South Bend (22-8, 16-6 CCAC) men's basketball team posted a crucial Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season finale 87-81 victory over Saint Xavier on Senior Day Saturday, Feb. 22, inside the Student Activities Center. The win, marked the highest regular-season finish for the Titans as IUSB clinched the three seed in the conference tournament.

Prior to the game, IUSB honored its three seniors in Miguel Mahan, Kourtlandt Martin and Myles Simmons. Martin led the offense with a game-high 23 points off 8-of-15 shooting from the floor to go along with five rebounds and five assists for a stat-stuffing performance.
Junior Norell Smith added a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Junior counterpart Dylan Allen scored his 1000th career point with 11 on the day to go along with four assists.
In a game that went back-and-forth in the first half, the Titans led by as many as six, 39-33, with just three minutes before the half that led to a five-point advantage at half. In the second, SXU cut the deficit to three, 84-81, under a minute to play but a pair of free throws from Allen and Martin sealed the ninth-straight victory at home this season for IUSB.
As a team, IUSB converted 49.2 percent of its shots and 8-of-20 three-point attempts. Saint Xavier finished 29-of-64 (45.3 percent) from the floor and just 9-of-23 from distance. IUSB dished out 20 assists, tallied five steals, and racked up three blocks and held a 42-31 edge on the glass.
IU South Bend embarks on its first conference tournament since the 2015-16 season on Wednesday, Feb. 26 to host Indiana University Northwest for the CCAC Quarterfinals inside the Student Activities Center. Time to be announced at a later date.
