Box Score DAVENPORT, Iowa – The No. 20 Indiana University women's basketball team had a strong showing Monday, Feb. 3, as the Titans rolled to a 78-54 win at Saint Ambrose to snap their four-game losing skid. IUSB saw its record improve to 20-5 overall and 12-5 in CCAC competition.

The 20-win season becomes just the fourth time in program history, dating back to the 2003-04 season. This IUSB squad needs just three more wins to tie the 2004-05 squad with most wins during a single season after the Titans went 23-11 overall.
Three different starters reached double-figures points on Monday night. Freshman Maddie Gard led the way with a game-high and tied a career-high 21 points. Sophomore Rachael Robards and senior Kyleigh Kubik finished with 17 ad 11 apiece while freshman Katie Gard came off the bench and tacked on 14.
After trailing 9-2, IU South Bend used a 43-21 run over the next 15 minutes spanning through the first and second quarters to secure a 15-point advantage with just one minute to play in the half. The Bees used a layup and a free-throw to cut IUSB's lead to 45-33 at halftime.
SAU was able to cut the deficit down to single digits heading into the fourth, outscoring the Titans 15-12 in the third stanza. IU South Bend stopped the surge, holding Saint Ambrose to just six points in the fourth quarter and scoring 21.
Indiana University South Bend shot 26-of-60 (43.3 percent) from the field and 12-of-29 (41.4 percent) from three-point range. Saint Ambrose finished shooting 22-of-55 (40 percent) from the floor including 3-of-7 (42.9 percent) from long distance. IUSB held a commanding edge over SAU points off turnovers, 28-6, bench points, 23-15, assists 16-9, and forced turnovers, 23-8.
The Titans take a short break from the action, travelling to Roosevelt University on Wednesday, Feb. 5, a CCAC match in Chicago, Ill. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. (EST).
