SOUTH BEND, Ind.
– In its seventh game in 11 days, Indiana University South Bend volleyball swept Governors State Saturday, March 20, evening for its fifth victory at home this season as the Titans improve to 9-3 overall this season and during Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The three-frame victory is the sixth of the season for the Crimson and Cream after the Titans earned the 25-18, 25-22 and 25-12 win.
Reigning conference attacker and defender of the week,
Hannah Marchand led the Titans with 14 kills while
Amber Jacobs and
Julie Brown followed behind with 10 and nine, respectively. Marchand also added three aces, three blocks and a game-high 14 digs.
Junior
McKenzie Powell dished out a game-high 35 assists to go along with 12 digs for her second consecutive double-double.
IU South Bend attacked at its best in the third set, collecting 15 kills off 36 attempts with a set-low two errors (.361). For the game, the Titan offense attacked at a .327 clip and held Governors State to just a .180 attacking percentage.
The Titans held advantages is almost every category, including kills (42-37), aces (5-2), blocks (4-2), assists (41-35) and digs (51-46) to help seal the win and get back in the win column.
IUSB hits the road for two consecutive matches, beginning in Deerfield, Ill. on Tuesday, March 23 at Trinity International before heading to Trinity Christian on March 25. The Titans are back at home on Saturday, March 27, hosting Cardinal Stritch inside the
Student Activities Center at 3 p.m.
