DEERFIELD, Ill. – Indiana University South Bend volleyball suffered a three-set setback to the hands of Trinity International on Tuesday, March 23 in its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference midweek match. With the loss, the Titans drop to 9-4 overall and 4-3 on the road.

Both teams entered Tuesday's contest tied for third place in the league at 9-3 in conference play. With the victory, Trinity International takes over sole possession of the spot and pushes the Titans down in the latest rankings.
Trinity International defeated the Titans in three sets (25-22, 25-15, 25-18) after IU South Bend attacked with a season-low .067 hitting percentage, registering just 25 total kills and 18 errors. The Trojans added 44 kills and registered a .212 attacking clip.
The Trojans led in almost every category Tuesday evening, including assists (42-24), digs (61-55), blocks (7-5) and aces (8-2).

Hannah Marchand, connected on a team-high 12 kills to go along with nine digs and a block assist. Sophomore
Whitney Gessinger led the way with 12 digs while junior
McKenzie Powell was the other Titan in double-digits with 11 digs. Powell dished out a team-high 24 assists but the stat is also a season-low for the Rolling Prairie, Ind. native.
The Titans look to bounce back Thursday, March 25 when they travel to reigning CCAC Tournament champions Trinity Christian. The two teams met earlier this season with IUSB sweeping the Trolls at home. First serve in Palos Heights, Ill. is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
