CHICAGO --- The Indiana University South Bend women's volleyball team swept the first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Player of the Week awards of the 2026 season, with Alyssa Carson earning Attacker of the Week, Emily Adams being named Defender of the Week and Mia Norris collecting Setter of the Week honors.

The trio helped lead the Titans through a busy week that featured five matches, including a 3-0 victory over Andrews University and four matches against strong competition in Montana.

Carson put together an impressive offensive week, totaling 81 kills while averaging 4.05 kills per set and hitting .316 across 20 sets. The sophomore middle hitter reached double figures in kills in each of the final three matches of the week, capped by a record-setting performance against Carroll (Mont.).

Carson erupted for a program-record 32 kills in the five-set match against Carroll, hitting .443 on 61 attacks while adding 19 digs for a double-double. She also recorded 17 kills while hitting .316 against Arizona Christian and 16 kills against OUAZ.

Adams anchored the Titans' back row throughout the week, collecting 82 digs and averaging 4.10 digs per set. The junior defensive specialist recorded double-digit digs in four of the team's five matches and saved her best performance for the finale against Carroll.

Adams finished that match with a week-high 27 digs, averaging 5.40 per set. She also recorded 18 digs against OUAZ and 17 against Arizona Christian. Adams was reliable in serve receive as well, successfully handling 81 of her 89 reception attempts during the week.

Norris helped direct the IU South Bend offense in her first few weeks of collegiate action, totaling a team-high 94 assists and averaging 5.53 assists per set across 17 sets played. The freshman setter improved as the week progressed, recording 29 assists against OUAZ before handing out 37 assists in the five-set match against Carroll.

Norris also contributed defensively with 33 digs, including 12 against OUAZ. Her all-around play helped the Titans' offense produce some of its best performances of the opening week.

The sweep gives IU South Bend all three of the conference's first women's volleyball weekly awards of the 2026 campaign. The CCAC recognizes an Attacker, Defender and Setter of the Week throughout the regular season.

IU South Bend returns home this weekend to host the Mishawaka Mayhem, beginning Friday at the Student Activities Center.
