SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Seven home doubleheaders are on tap for IU South Bend softball, as the 2022 schedule was announced on Wednesday.

Under first-year head coach Kelli Zache-Martin, the Titans begin the new season at the Bear Creek Tournament, hosted by the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) on February 18-20. IUSB will play six games while in Williamsburg, Ky., before returning to South Bend for the home opener.

The Titans make their home debut on Saturday, March 5, when they host Huntington (Ind.) for a doubleheader. Goshen (Ind.) then comes to Dick Pfeil Field for a pair of games on Tuesday, March 8.

Following six days at the PFX Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla., the Titans begin the CCAC schedule with a trip to Saint Xavier on Saturday, March 26. Calumet comes to South Bend for the first home conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 2, followed by Trinity Christian on Wednesday, April 6.

IUSB will take on the defending CCAC champs on April 12, when they travel to Olivet Nazarene. Cardinal Stritch and St. Francis wrap up the home portion of the schedule with doubleheaders on April 23 and April 26, respectively.

The CCAC Tournament begins on Thursday, May 5 in Crown Point, Ind., and the NAIA Softball Tournament Opening Round begins on May 16.
