JOLIET, Ill. - The Indiana University South Bend (22-28, 17-15 CCAC) baseball team has been dubbed the six seed for the upcoming Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament beginning Wednesday April 30th hosted at Slammers Stadium in Joliet, Ill.

The Titans will open up day one of the tournament facing three seed Saint Xavier University (27-22, 20-12 CCAC) at 7pm ET and will be the visitors on the scoreboard. In the regular season the Titans split the four-game series with SXU, losing the first two games of the series and taking the final two games on day two.

A round one win will pair the Titans with the two seed Saint Ambrose University (25-23, 20-12 CCAC) at 2pm ET on Thursday May 1, as the one seed and two seed are awarded a bye in the newly formatted six team tournament bracket.

A round one loss would send IUSB to the losers bracket to play at 5pm ET where they would face the losing team between one seed Judson University (28-21, 20-12 CCAC) and either four seed Viterbo University (24-23, 19-13 CCAC) and Olivet Nazarene University (23-24, 18-14 CCAC).

The last time the Titans were in the CCAC Baseball Tournament was 2023 when they marched their way through the winners bracket to the championship game before being halted by Saint Xavier University who beat IUSB twice to claim the title. There are currently only five Titans who were on that 2023 team, those being Junior Josiah Nelson, Senior Gabe Cortez, Senior Kaleb Farnham, Senior Jack Kienzle, and Senior Luke Bentley.

The full bracket and tournament schedule can be found on the CCAC press release for the tournament.
