In the same stretch Josiah Nelson is hitting .406 (13 hits) with eight runs and Lucas Brown and Jayden Cummings have made a big impact in the lineup, averaging .292 and .294, respectively.

AT THE PLATE

The Titans bring a balanced offensive attack into the postseason. Speed, patience, and the ability to string together hits is key for the IUSB offense.

ON THE MOUND

The starting rotation for the Titans will be crucial in the effort on the mound. Throughout 2026, the IUSB arms have collectively thrown 10 complete games and account for nearly 70.0 percent of the innings pitched this season.

Josh McCormick and Gavin Lake each reached 50 strikeouts for the Titans and recorded three and four wins, respectively. Noah Dowler offered some incredible performances, including a one-hit shutout on the way to a NAIA Pitcher of the Week honor.

OPENING VS SXU

The opening round will be a challenge, as Saint Xavier swept the regular-season series (4-0). The final game of the series was an 11-9 battle, showing the Titans can match SXU offensively.

Jack Barnes hit the ball well against the Cougars back in March, batting .357 with two home runs and four RBI.

HISTORY

The Titans are looking to recapture the magic from 2023 - the last time the team made the conference finals. Three years ago, IUSB won its first four games of the tournament, before narrowly falling to Saint Xavier in the Championship series.
