Dowler Named National and Conference Pitcher of the Week

4/15/2026 4:28:00 PM

KANSAS CITY --- Noah Dowler has been named both the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Pitcher of the Week and the NAIA National Pitcher of the Week, following a dominant performance on the mound for the Titans.

Dowler delivered one of the most impressive outings of the season, tossing a complete-game one-hit shutout in Saturday's victory. The right-hander performed on the big stage against Trinity Christian, dealing at Four Winds Field. He struck out 11 batters over nine innings, allowing just one hit while issuing four walks in a commanding performance.

He faced only 32 batters and needed just 113 pitches to finish the game, consistently working out of key situations. Dowler recorded five three-up, three-down innings and struck out the side twice.

Dowler carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning on his way to his second win of the year.

The honor marks IU South Bend baseball's second CCAC weekly award of the season and adds a national accolade to the 2026 campaign.

IU South Bend returns to action at home on Friday, hosting St. Francis at 1:00 pm.
